Vault Reset

When to use it

Consider a vault reset only when:

• the vault state is unusable
• you cannot recover access through normal in-app actions
• you already exported the sessions you must keep

Before you reset

• export important sessions as .ptpx
• check your license state
• confirm that your issue is really vault-related and not a relay, report, or UI problem

Main warning

A vault reset is a destructive local recovery action. If the data exists only in the local vault and you do not have exports, you may lose it.

Safer sequence

1. Export what you can.
2. Try standard app restart and unlock flows first.
3. Use the in-app vault management path if available.
4. Re-import .ptpx backups after recovery if needed.
