Installation

Supported platforms

PentestPath currently targets:

• Windows x64
• Linux x64

Release packages are published on the public releases repository:

• GitHub Releases

Install on Windows

1. Download the latest .exe installer from the releases page.
2. Launch the installer.
3. If Windows SmartScreen appears, open the details view and allow the app to run.
4. Start PentestPath and create your first session.

Install on Linux

1. Download the latest .AppImage or .deb package from releases.
2. On recent Ubuntu or Debian systems, make sure WebKitGTK runtime dependencies are available.
3. If you use the AppImage format, mark it executable before launch.
4. Start PentestPath and complete the first-run flow.

First launch

On first launch, PentestPath guides you through the main areas of the application. The in-app Help panel stays intentionally short, while this external documentation covers the full product.
