Activation

How activation works

PentestPath Pro activation is validated by the native backend and bound to the current machine through a hardware identifier.

Operational behavior

• internet access is required for activation
• Pro validation uses a machine-bound hardware ID
• offline grace exists after successful validation

Current grace behavior

The current implementation keeps a 14-day offline grace window for a valid Pro state.

Clock integrity

The native licensing flow also checks for significant local clock rollback. If the system time moves back beyond the tolerated drift, the app can revoke the active Pro state until it is validated again.
